Death to Self

And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines….So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life. (Judges 16:30)

Samson's greatest work was done when he died to himself and trusted in the Lord. Similarly we will be more effective servants if we understand that we died with Christ and have been raised in newness of life (Rom 6:3-4; Gal 2:20) - Christ's life. Beloved, do you want to do great things for God? Believe and practice that you are dead and let His life be lived through you. Doing this you will say no to sin, live by faith and depend on His strength for service. God will take pleasure as He sees His Son's fragrant life shining through you and blessing others. Lord, let me die.
