The Mark

Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof...Slay utterly...but come not near any upon whom is the mark. (Ezekiel 9:4, 6)

In Ezekiel's day, God used a mark to separate the righteous from those He would utterly judge. Likewise He has marked all believers today by sealing us with the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:30). Bearing His mark signifies He owns us (1 Cor 6:20) and that He takes responsibility for our salvation (Heb 7:25). Consequently, He will rapture His church before His wrath is poured out on this world. Beloved, take comfort in the knowledge that the Lord knows His own.
