The LORD our Righteousness

They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness…. (Psalm 22:31)

But wisdom is justified of all her children. (Luke 7:35)

While walking this earth the Lord frequently had His righteousness questioned. He was scornfully called a drunkard and a friend of sinners (Lk. 7:34). He was hung on a cross as a common criminal. Praise God His righteousness has been vindicated. We have the witness of the church as we gather to worship Him, and the future testimony of Israel (Jer. 23:6) and the nations (Zech. 14:16). Jews, Gentiles and the church all declare that the Lord Jesus is righteous. Greater than these is the witness of His Father, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (2 Peter 1:17).

How perfect is His righteousness, In which unspotted beauteous dress,
His saints have always stood, His saints have always stood.
